12mo - 19.5 x 13 cm.; 145 pp. Bright green cloth over boards with gilt lettering on spine. When Fleming, an immigrant engineer from Scotland, arrived in Canada in 1845, there were only 16 miles of railroad in the whole of the country. Besides being instrumental in linking all of Canada by rail, he also developed and established Standard Time and a Commonwealth cable system for communication. Other than very mild shelf wear to the board and dust jacket edges, the book appears to have been little used if at all. View more info
