A biography of one of Canada's well know civil servants. "Robertson played the central role in Canada's wartime policy to Japanese Canadians as well as in the Gouzenko spy case and the Bomarc missile crisis of 1963. He was deeply involved in the League of Nations, the founding of the United Nations and of NATO." He served under five prime ministers - Bennett, King, St. Laurent, Diefenbaker and Pearson. Bit of soiling on the tail edge of the text block; text is clean, binding sturdy. Dust jacket has a few small closed tears.
