4to - 28 x 21.5 cm.; (8) - unpaginated - (2) pp. 190 to 200 pages. Foreword by John Eudes Bamberger, abbot of Genesee. Two page note on Cistercian Art by Meredith Parsons Lillich at back. A reproduction of an originally hand lettered text of Psalm 1 to 150 including The Song of Zechariah, The Song of Mary, the Song of Simeon, and Revelations 15. The psalm translation used is that of The Grail. Canticle translations are not credited. Illustrated with black and white photographs of Cistercian architectural art. No additonal printings are noted. Burgundy cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the front cover only. Spotty surface foxing of the text block edges and some minor scuffing of the back board. Otherwise very clean with a sound binding. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
