8vo - 22.5 x 15 cm.; xiii - 231 pp. Dark blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and in a gilt bordered panel on the front board with blind stamped border rules on the margins of the front board. The text block head edge is stained blue to match, the fore and tail edges are untrimmed, all as issued. Introduction by John Gregory Murray, the then archbishop of St. Paul. Illustrated with 12 full page black and white plates one of which is the frontis piece. Some of the pages remain unopened on the tail edges. The volume shows very mild wear to the spine tips and the bottom fore corners of the boards, 'tis otherwise clean with a sound binding. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
