8vo - 20 x 14 cm.; 229 pp. Sequel to Richardson's award-wining novel, "Desired Haven". She wrote only these two novels but many memoirs, winning the Governor General's Award for Non-fiction in 1945. Richardson (1902-1976) and her husband maintained a lighthouse near Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia for 35 years where she spent her winters writing. This novel is a tale of nineteenth century fishermen and their lives. Orange cloth-covered boards, minor soiling on text block fore-edge, a clean, tight copy. Dust jacket has some small chipping on edges.
