8vo - 22.5 x 15 cm.; xiii - 231 pp. Dark blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and in a gilt bordered panel on the front board with blind stamped border rules on the margins of the front board. The text block head edge is stained blue to match as issued. Introduction by John Gregory Murray, the then archbishop of St. Paul. Illustrated with 12 full page black and white plates one of which is the frontis piece. The library markings, none of which are external, are a stamp on the title page and attachments on the back end papers. Dated gift note and a blacked out previous owner's name on the front free end paper. The volume shows very mild wear to the spine tips and the fore corners of the boards, 'tis otherwise clean with a sound binding. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
