8vo - 24.5 x 18 cm.; 90 pp. Cream coloured covers with dark brown lettering and art work. Mary of the Incarnation (1599-1672) left France on May 4th of 1639 to settle in Quebec City. The original history was published in French only under the title "Marie de l'Incarnation". This translation and adapted version was published on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Ursuline convent in Quebec. Illustrated with photographs and reproductions. The covers show very slight wear and light soiling with a clean interior and a solid binding. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
