First founded in 1650 in France by Monsignor Henri de Maupas and Reverend Jean Pierre Medaille, the Sisters of St. Joseph came to the United States first and then to Toronto in 1851. Full of history, photos, maps, footnotes. Green paper-covered boards, gilt spine lettering, pictorial and mapped endpapers. Bit of soiling on boards; binding sturdy, text pages clean.
