Book Condition: Good+ in Poor dust jacket

8vo - 22 x 14 cm.; 605 pp. Decorative brown cloth with gilt and black lettering and embellishments. The title page continued: ". . . by . . . Brigham Young's Apostate Wife with Introductory Notes by John B. Gough and Mary A. Livermore. Illustrated. Sold by Subscription only." All illustrations are present and they are by Stanley Fox of New York City. The back strip has been professionally repaired in the front joint area. The bevelled boards show mild to moderate wear to the corners and the spine tips and some scuffing. The gilt on both the spine and the front board still retains some of the original sheen though overall, 'tis dulled. The interior is clean with some minor foxing present on the borders of the frontis piece, the black and white photograph of the author. The front free end paper has been replaced. Hmm . . . what else to say? It is actually a very decent and solidly bound volume with a very good presentation and a clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
