Based on a real diary, this is a portrait of Mary Lou McGuire's last year on the island of Oderin in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. In 1910 the McGuire family learned the local island school would be closed and all would have to leave the island. "Seasons of the Sea is a loving look back at the world of the Newfoundland outport . . ." Library markings include spine stickers on dust jacket, name stamps and attachments on endpapers.
