8vo - 21.5 x 14 cm.; viii - 555 pp. Green cloth with white lettering on the spine and the front board. Illustrated with many archival black and white photographs. Two appendices, a 3 page bibliography and a 9 page index. The book was published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Fr. Constantine Scollen OMI and the founding of his first mission on the Elbow River. Previous owner's name blacked out on the copyright page (the verso of the title page). Otherwise the book is clean with a tight binding and showing only mild wear to the board corners and spine tips. The dust jacket is worn on the head edge with most of that to the spine crown and shows mild soiling and a scuffed back panel.
