8vo - 22 x 15 cm.; 93 pp. The text is in Polish with the title translating as "To the Land of the Rising Sun". Orlinski (1899-1992) was a Polish aviator and test pilot who, with his mechanic, Leon Kubiak, flew from Warsaw to Tokyo and back to Warsaw in 1926 in a Breguet 19 A2. For this he was awarded the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun and the French Legion of Honor. This is an account of that flight. Illustrated with 8 pages of black and white photographs one of which is a frontis photograph of the author and a one page map of the flight path. Minor wear to the externals and with some light soiling to the covers, otherwise clean with a tight binding.
