Footnotes, 2 appendices and a 10 page index. Keirstead was a professor of economics at the University of Toronto. This volume surveys the period that saw the uneasy settlement in Korea, the building up of NATO, the emergence of Germany as a central problem, great internal shifts of power in the USA and the USSR, and the acquisition by the Soviets of a hydrogen weapon. The covers show mild wear on the edges and the spine (one light reading crease) while the interior is clean and the binding is tight.
