Brown leather in a Cambridge style binding, six panel spine with a hand lettered label, "England 1750", in the second panel from the top. The title page continued: ". . . with a Description of all the Counties and principal Towns, of the Palaces belonging to the Crown, of the City of London and its publick buildings, Courts of Judicature, Markets, Halls, Companies, and publick Offices, a succunct Account of the Government of Westminster, with the Rates of Coachmen, Carmen and Waterman, also, Tables of the Roads from London to the most remarkable Places in England and Wales. and a List of all the principal Markets and annual Fairs. Published under the sanction of His Majesty's Sign Manual". The front joint has been professionally repaired, the back joint has the beginnings of splits at both the head and tail though not severe. Very little foxing is present and what is there is confined to the front preliminary pages and the text block edges. The spine is darkened with surface crazing from sunning present. The front paste down end paper is missing pieces on the fore edge and the bottom fore corner. Previous owner's names on the front end papers and the recto of the first preliminary page. What appears to be a bookseller's inventory number on the back paste down end paper. Additional images or details available upon inquiry.
