12mo - 18.5 x 12 cm.; xi - 111 pp. Red cloth over thin though rigid boards with black lettering on the spine and the front board with a black decorative border on the front also. First published in 1916, this is the fourth impression. From the author's preface: "I have tried . . . to show the lines along which the religious development of a child takes place, as the initial impilse towards good, possessed in some degree by every child, is gradually strengthened into habit, setting free an increasing store of spiritual energy, which seeks its fulfilment in a righteous life, in which there is a conscious relation between the child and God". Previous owner's names, one of which is blacked out, on the front free end paper, otherwise the interior is clean and the binding is solid. The bottom fore corner of the front board is faded from exposure to moisture, otherwise the exterior shows only mild wear.
