12mo - 18.5 x 12 cm.; vi - 310 pp. Orange cloth over boards with blue lettering on the spine and the front board and with blue border rules on the front board and the head and tail of the spine. First published by Sully of New York in 1914, this is a reprint by Saalfield. The book has minor wear to the spine tips, previous owner's name on the front paste down end paper and all text pages are age toned or browned though not brittle as is common with this publisher. Otherwise clean with a tight binding. The dust jacket has moderate wear to the edges and a closed tear of ~6 cm from the top fore corner into the front panel. From the dust jacket with reference to the Janice Day series: "An ideal series for girls from nine to sixteen".
