The title continued: ". . . a critical study of the non-physical methods of healing, with an examination of the principles underlying them and the techniques employed to express them, together with some conclusions regarding further investigation and action in this field". First published in 1951, this is the second impression or printing. The author's summary of contents on page xv: "The aim of this book is to review every known method of healing through the mind and the spirit, to assess the place of psychology and religion in the field of non-physical healing, to pass a critical judgment on the methods used to attain health in this field, and to ascertain along which lines modern techniques might usefully proceed". Six appendices, 8 page bibliography, 7 page index of proper names and a 6 page index of subjects at the back. The externals show mild to moderate wear to the board corners and spine tips with light an dgeneral scuffing. The front hinge has a wee bit pf play in it, otherwise the interior is clean and the binbding is solid.
