8vo - 22.5 x 14.5 cm.; xiv - 225 pp. Green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and the front board. The text block head edge is trimmed while the fore and tail edges are untrimmed as issued. No date of publication or edition statement is given though known to be first published in 1914 while no additional printings are noted. Illustrated with black and white photographs from life and reproductions (92) and black and white drawings (11) by the author. The 92 photographs and reproductions are printed on a coated papsr, the 11 drawings are printed on the standard text paper. All are present and in fine condition. Three page index at the back. Previous owner's name on the front free end paper, otherwise very clean with a tight binding. Very occasional foxing of a mild sort to the text is present. Several pages remain unopened on the fore edges. The externals show quite mild wear and with two spots of soiling on the front board and some surface foxing on the text block head edge. All in all, a quite handsome volume. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
