First published privately in 1964, this is a new edition with only a few textual corrections. The book is based on a series of 12 lectures originally delivered at the University of Ottawa as part of a course in Literary Criticism. The author expresses his debt to T. S. Eliot and Jacques Maritain. Very minor wear to the externals and the cloth is a tad faded on the front fore edge margin. The interior is clean and the binding is tight.
