12mo - 18 x 12 cm.; 170 pp. No date of publication given and educated guess would be the mid 1900's. Blue card stock covers, gilt lettering on the front with yapped edges on open sides over a sewn binding. A partially bilingual text (English - French) laid out in a lesson format, 25 lessons in all, with phonetic drills, vocabulary, text, questions, translation exercise and an assignment. Illustrated with many black and white drawings of different types, styles and sizes. The yapped adges are worn though not chipped, the binding is a tad shaken and there is a fair amount of pencil marginalia throughout. Brother Bernard Roland was the president of the Concours Bilingues Canadiens and a teacher of English at the Académie de Québec.
