12mo - 18.5 x 12 cm.; vi - (2) - 212 - 112 - 68 pp. Half bound with textured black cloth over boards, dark brown leather on the spine gilt lettering and banding. All text block edges are stained red and polished as issued. The leather board corner pieces are missing. Interior black linen hinges with yellow end papers. The title page is gone as are the preliminary pages so publisher and date are unknown though the date can be assumed to be the late 19th century, 1880's. The three main sections are entitled "Proprium Missarum de Tempore", "Commune Sanctorum", and "Ordinarium Missae". The musical notation is in the Gregorian format. Several indices at the back, 11 pages in all.: "Index Generalis", "Index Alphabeticus omnium Festorum et Nominum Sanctorum hujus libri", "Index Missarum votivarum in hoc libro", "Ordinarium Missae", "Index Alphabeticus singularum Cantionum hujus libri". The externals have rubbed corners with mild bumping (the leathers are gone) and the spine is rubbed on the tips and the joints. Minor browning to margins of the text pages. Otherwise the interior is very clean and the binding is tight and sound. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
