8vo - 20.5 x 13.5 cm.; x - 446 pp. Brick red cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine. The complete text of 16 papers presented at a workshop held at Catholic University in Washington DC, in June of 1979. The gathering was sponsored by William Cardinal Baum and the archdiocese of Washington. The authors are William Cardinal Baum, Richard Roach, Donald McCarthy, Louis Bouyer, Manuel Miguens, John Finnis, William May, Ronald Lawler, John Connery, Joseph Boyle, Frederick Carney, Germain Grisez, Joseph Mangan, William Smith, Paul Philibert, and Jordan Aumann. Twelve page general index at the back plus 4 pages of short author biographies. One instance of pen marginalia that I can find, a line in the margin next to a passage of interest on page 25. Else the interior is clean. The book shows minimal wear to the externals with one small scuff to the spine, a bit of soiling to the fore edge of the text block while the binding is tight and sound.
