Figgis (1866-1919) was an Anglican priest and monk and most well known as the principal editor of many of Lord Acton's writings. This collection of four lectures along with 4 added sermons and an appendix all deal with the belief that miracles are the essence of revealtion: "Revelation", "Mystery", "The Historic Christ", "Forgiveness". Previous owner's stamp on all end papers and the free end papers are browned. The externals show mild shelf wear with browning to the cloth on the edges and the spine is darkened. Otherwise the book is clean with a solid binding.
