8vo - 21.5 x 13 cm.; 249 pp. Green cloth over boards with red lettering on the spine. First published in 1947, this is the second printing. The debate, after a suggestion by Rev. John C. Heenan, took the form of a correspondence published in "The Catholic Herald" from July of 1944 to June of 1945. Four page index at the back. Previous owner's name on the front free end paper. Pencil marginalia in the form of check marks and lines next to passages of note with some sparse underling present. The book shows mild wear to the externals, the corners and spine tips, otherwise it is clean and tight. The dust jacket is worn on the edges, tanned on the margins and chipped at the spine tips.
