This biography focuses primarily on her life and contribution to the cultural life of Jamaica. She gave the author, Wayne Brown, himself a Tinidadian poet, access to all her papers as he wrote this account. Photos mainly of her work, bibliography, index. Blue paper-covered boards with gilt spine lettering. A clean, tight volume with only a bit of staining on text block fore-edge. Dust jacket has a bit of minor edgewear. Laid-in are two articles on Michael Manley.
