8vo - 21 x 13.5 cm.; xv - 425 pp. Gray cloth over boards with dark gray and white lettering on spine. Translated from the original German "Priesterliche Existens" by Francis P. Dinneen SJ. The author allows that the majority of this book arises from a series of lectures given mainly at Vienna Pastoral Institute and the author ". . . examines a wide spectrum of characteristics found among priests. The extremes (both good and bad), as well as the more familiar ground of mediocrity, are dealt with in detail, and the temptations, trials and tensions of the priest in the contemporary world are discussed . . ." Usual library markings along with tape stains on the head and tail edges of the boards. The dust jacket shows mild wear, has a paper label on the lower spine and was shortened by 5 mm so as to fit into the now-removed library applied cover. A new cover has been fitted. The interior is clean and the binding is tight.; Ex-Library
