Chambers and her husband lived in Turkey for many years, some of which were in Bardizag, as part of The American Mission Schools. Text has very minor edgewear, former owner's name on front endpaper, a small stain on one page. Dust jacket is lightly soiled with a bit of edgewear and a 2 cm. long closed tear on the spine head at the back joint.
