Introduced by the sermon preached by Archbishop Lord Fisher at his Enthronement in Canterbury Cathedral in 1945. The six essays are The Legacy of the Anglo-Saxon Church, The Reformation, The Puritans, Caroline Churchmanship, The Evangelicals, and The Tractarians. All followed by an epilogue and a list of references. Previous owner's name on the second blank page and the externals show a wee bit of shelf wear, otherwise very clean and tight.
