8vo - 21.5 x 14 cm.; xvi - 263 pp. Dark blue cloth on the lower three-quart er of the casing with green on the top quarter. Gilt lettering on spine and front. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Signed by both authors and three of their four children on the title page as follows: "To Fran -- With a million memories - (?)rumio and Petruchio - old cars - Mary Ellen Chase - deserted beaches - Tier(?) - noses - - - - long talks - wonderful, wonderful, from - Jano, Barney, Joan Crile, Susie Crile, George Crile III". "Fran" is Frances Rich a sculptor of some renown from the midwest and the daughter of Irene Rich of Hollywood fame. The externals show overall mild shelf wear with heavier wear on the spine tips, more so on the top with some damage to the green cloth. The gilt lettering on the green cloth of the spine is very faded (all gone) and the same lettering on the green cloth of the front shows some loss of the gilt. The binding is a tad loose at both front and back hinges though the text block itself is sound.; Signed by All Authors
