8vo - 23 x 15 cm.; xv - 386 pp. Black cloth over boards with red and white lettering on spine, blind stamped MA monogram on front. Illustrated with 24 pages of black and white photographs.Signed and inscribed on the verso of the front free end paper as follows: " For dear Frances who reaches for the stars! Warmly - Merle Armitage 1973". Frances is Frances Rich, a sculptor of some renown from the midwest and the daughter of Irene Rich of Hollywood fame. Loosely laid in are small reproductions of two black and white drawings by Armitage, Snow Deer and the second untitled with a male dancer in white silhouette on a cicrular black background with a line of dancers at his feet. The book shows very mild shelf wear with the major fault being that the top of the spine is sunned as are the head edges of the boards and they are all quite faded or bleached. The dust jacket is worn on the edges with small chips, closed tears and associated creases with some soiling on the spine and the back panel.; Signed by Author
