12mo - 17 x 12 cm.; 246 pp. Brown / red cloth over boards with gilt lettering on front board. No date given nor are the approbations dated either. Translated from the original French by Rev. Cornelius J. Warren CSSR. Frontis black and white reproduction illustration of St. Frances writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Two page introduction by the translator followed by a one page biographical sketch of the saint. There follows eighteen chapters each devoted to one of the saint's most remarkable virtues. Library markings consist of a white call number on the lower spine and monastery stamps on both the front and back free end papers. The book shows mild shelf wear to the externals and the spine is quite faded from sunning as the gilt lettering that should be on it, 'tis no longer visible to even the most assiduous inspection. ; Ex-Library
