24 mo - 13 x 8 cm.; - 415 - pp. Leather over wood with a four panel spine and two metal closures on the fore edge. The text block edges are marbled though the marbling is quite indistinct and darkened now. The colophon (the last page and unpaginated and entitled Privilegium Caesareum) is dated 1715 with the name Petrus Schmidman. Very light, sparse and scattered foxing thoughout. A more recent Redemptorist bookplate is affixed to the front paste down end paper and a pencilled note made to the facing front free end paper. Otherwise no other markings are noted. The externals show moderate and general wear with some surface crazing to the leather on the spine. The metal closures, most likely bronze, are sound and function well. A rather nice copy of a eighteenth century Jesuit ascetical work.
