12mo - 18 x 13 cm.; 121 - pp. Light blue paper over boards with black lettering on the spine and front board. All 8 black and white illustrations by O'Keefe are present and clean. The first blank preliminary page has been very neatly removed and the last blank page has a small triangular piece gone from the top fore edge corner. The paper, as expected, is age darkened but not brittle. The spine is a tad faded as are the board margins with mild bumping on the spine ends and board corners. The dust jacket (Lucky, the Boy Scout, surveying the New York skyline from a boat in the harbour) is soiled with moderate edge wear consisting of small chips, nicks and associated creases mostly at the spine ends and jacket fore corners. This is the third book in the "Lucky" series with the sixth listed on the dust jackets back panel and on the second to last back page. Not a first edition but an early printing none the less. With a protective archival cover, the book has a quite decent presentation.
