This is the second edition of June 1952. Sheba was the managing editor of the Nippon Times and wanted to describe post war Japan as he experienced and knew it especially in the wake of the overwhelming American presence. Sparsely illustrated with a few striking b/w line drawings. Minor wear on the edges with some browning. The dust jacket is worn on the edges (and a bit soiled) with small chips and creases more so on the top edge.
