No date given though there is a previous owner's name on front free end paper that is dated 3/9/99. Probable date of issue is the early 1890's. Extremities show mild but general wear with rubbing to the board edges. The text block head edge is gilt and the gilding is still quite bright as is the gilt lettering and decorations. Mild foxing/staining is present on the end papers, both paste downs and free. A rather nice copy of what appears to be one of the unauthorized editions. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
