4to - 25 x 17.5 cm.; xxi - [10] - 434 pp. Textured dark green cloth with white lettering on spine. A translation by Kevin J. Kirley and William J. Young into English of the French "Origines et Formation de la Communaute des Pretres de Saint-Basile" published in 1965. Illustrated with five pages of black and white photographs and three full page maps. A comprehensive 22 page index at the back plus appendices and errata notes. Loosely laid in is a photograph (24 cm x 10 cm. oblong) of the refectory at St, Michael's College dated on the back as June 14/43; a posed scene just prior to a meal of priests, various clerics, seminarians and brothers with a line of servers in the background. The volume shows mild shelf wear to the tail edges of the boards at the corners and the spine heel.
