12mo - 19 x 12.5 cm.;  - 310 -  pp. Pictorial cloth (black on orange) with black lettering on spine and black artwork on front with orange lettering over. Illustrated by Frank Spradling with eight black and white captioned plates printed on a coated paper with scenes from the 1933 Paramount picture of the same name and directed by Henry Hathaway. The 1922 copyright is the only date mentioned and is held by Harper & Brothers, this is the later Grosset reprint. Previous owner's dated (1933) gift inscription on the front paste down end paper. Minor staining / foxing to the tail and fore margins of the first 30 or so pages and two pages near the back. The externals show mild to moderate shelf wear with rubbed corners and spine head/tail with the spine tail and the bottom fore corners showing most wear. The spine is a tad darkened with light and general soiling to the front and back. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
