A novel set in Quebec about the touching history of an abandoned and forgotten wayside cross erected in the mid 1800's at a rural intersection and how a descendant, a lame young lad, changes all that by bringing love back to the village, a love that his ancestor's pride had driven out. The first blank preliminary has been removed as has the last blank page, both done neatly. Previous owner's name stamped on front free end paper and the half title page. Interior is clean and tight while the externals show moderate wear with rubbed corners and spine crown/heel while the spine itself is darkened.
