A collection of poetry, the majority of which is about the gold rush days in the western USA plus some more reflective pieces about things eternal. Illustrated with 6 black and white captioned plates. All text block edges are gilt and still quite bright. Minor wear to the cover edges and corners with a good and solid binding. Previous owner's armorial bookplate on the front paste down. Bibliographic data lists the author's name as I'Anson (with an i) though it is commonly spelled with an L - L'Anson. The author is originally from Scotland. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.
