12mo - 19 x 12.5 cm.; ix - 148 pp. Brown was Dean of the Divinity School at Yale plus Pastor of the University Church. An interesting note as he starts his preface with: "There is a feeling in certain quarters that college students in these days are openly irreligious." This was in 1926 and sounds like it could have be written today. Happily, Brown disagreed with this belief. The book contains a series of "talks" on religion that Brown gave. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on front and spine. Minor shelfwear, text block head lightly foxed and dust soiled, a laid-in newspaper article by Brown has discolored pages 106 and 107; otherwise a tight and clean volume. The dust jacket is somewhat soiled with light edgewear. The reverse or inside of the dust jacket has advertisements by the publisher.
