Includes poems by many others that are not named in the author line. Pictorial boards have some edgewear, usual library markings with pocket on ffep and clipped ffep corner; binding sturdy. | 2. | Kipling, Rudyard Light That Failed, The New York, New York America Publishers Corporation Hard Cover Very Good- with no dust jacket 12mo ; 248 pp. Plus 4 pages of publisher's adverts. Maroon cloth with gold lettering and panelling on spine (no banding though) and a gold decoration on the front board. No date given though there is a previous owner's name on ffep that is dated 3/9/99. Probable date of issue is late 1880's or early 1890's. Extremities show mild but general wear and the book is cocked. Head edge is gilt and the gilding is still quite bright as is the the gold lettering and decorations. Mild foxing/staining is present on the end papers, both paste downs and free. Page margins are slightly browned on text head. Binding is tight with with a slight surface weakness showing on the front end-paper hinge. A rather nice copy of what appears to be one of the unauthorized editions.
