Twelve full-page, b/w illustrations by Carey. Green cloth covered boards with still bright gilt lettering and decoration on the front board. Boards have some light soiling, rubbing, and edgewear; corners are lightly bumped and worn, text block head has a bit of fnxing, some staining to front and back free endpapers, frontis page has some wave in it, binding has some play in it with some hinges beginning to crack; still pretty sturdy, though, and the text is clean.
