Illustrated end papers in both and twelve pages of illustrations (photographs and reproductions) in each volume. The spines of both are a tad darkened. Otherwise they are very clean with solid and tight bindings. Both dust jackets are unclipped and that for volume 2 has mild wear to the spine tips. As with the books, the spines are a tad darkened. The publisher's slip case is present (a simple green affair with no markings) and it is worn on the edges and corners with small splits beginning at the open end. 27196
