Slonim, Reuben To Kill a Rabbi. Toronto, Ontario ECW Press 1987 0920763995 / 9780920763995 Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket 8vo - 23 x 15 cm.; 354 pp. Brown cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine. (Rabbi) Slonim was ordained a rabbi in 1937 and served for 50 years in various Toronto congregations, the most notable of which was the McCaul Street Synagogue. He also served as the associate editor for the Toronto Telegram and often travelled to the Middle East on assignment. Essentially a memoir but with a difference. Slonim speaks to all with the same voice in his continuing efforts to promote understanding and knowledge between peoples who are often at odds with each other. Illustrated with six pages of black and white photographs and two of reproductions. Other than a slight spine lean (the book is mildly cocked), the condition is near fine. 17418 Price:
