12mo - 18.5 x 12.5 cm.; 230 pp. Patterned red cloth with gilt lettering on spine and on front board. Illustrated with eight black and white photographic plates one of which is a tissue protected frontis. A biography of one of Halifax's more beloved prelates, he was consecrated as the Bishop of Halifax in January of 1883 in St. Mary's Cathedral having been called to do so from his beloved Prince Edward Island. The externals show very minor shelf wear and the title page has one very small smudge in the top fore corner. Otherwise the book appears to have never been used and is near fine. 19074
