Approbations present and dated 1957 and the liturgical calendar begins with 1962. Coloured frontis and coloured photographs of pre-Vatican II Mass plus and other sections of coloured illustrations; the Way of the Cross, the Mysteries of the Rosary, and the Promises of Our Lord to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. Bound in a black cloth with a simulated leather finish, gilt lettering and blind-stamped design on front with gilt lettering on spine. The text block edges gilt over red. One red marker ribbon set into the head band. The text within the missal is English only according to the promulgated decrees of 1958. The missal show a hint of shelf wear with the gilding on the text block edges being a tad dulled. The "belongs to" panel on the first page is filled in. Otherwise, the missal shows signs of gentle and reverent use. 19789
