Liso, Oscar de Padre Pio: The Priest Who Bears the Wounds of Christ. New York McGraw-Hill Book Company. 1960 First Edition Hardcover Very Good in Good dust jacket 8vo - 20.5 x 13.5 cm.; 233 pp. Black cloth over boards with gilt lettering on spine. Stated first edition. From the dust jacket: "Based completely on fact and careful research, but at the same time deeply moving, this full-length biography is drawn from old records, letters, the testimony of friends and doctors, accounts in newspapers, and statements by the vast number of people who today owe their health, even their lives, to Padre Pio's great power." At the time of writing, Padre Pio, born Francesco Forgione, was a member of the Capuchin monastery at San Giovanni Rotondo where he has lived since 1918. The book itself shows mild shelf wear to the board edges, otherwise very clean and tight. The unclipped dust jacket is chipped and creased on the edges, worn on the folds and has a tide mark on the top of the back panel. 20690 Price:
