12mo - 18.5 x 12 cm.; 194 pp. Claret cloth with gilt lettering on spine, black lettering and decorations on front board. Usual library markings - a seminary library - all markings are in the front with a catalogue number on the spine. Spine title and front board title is "Sketches". Minor wear to the externals. One of the photographic plates has a closed tear from the gutter and 3" into the middle. A series of 12 sketches relating the scenery, people and ambience of various locales, all located in the western US. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted.; Ex-Library 5846

12mo - 18 x 12 cm.; xiv - 404 pp. Dark blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering on spine. An exhortation to the Catholic prelates and clergy of the United States by the then Archbishop of Baltimore. Previous owner's name stamped on the front paste down end paper and on the text block head edge which is darkened. The spine is a trifle faded a the top. Otherwise 'tis very clean with a sound and solid binding. 21360
