Esser presented a series of conferences in 1965 to the Franciscans and Capuchins of the German province and these comprise the commentary on the rule. He also presented a series of talks to the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, at their generalite in Rome between 1974 and 1976. These comprise the commentary on the Testament of St. Francis. Both are translated from the original German by Sister Audrey Marie. 2 pen notations in red ink on bottom of title page. The dust jacket shows very minor edge wear. A very tight and crisp copy of an important work on the essentials of the Franciscan orders and their spirituality. 9204
