8vo - 20.5 x 13.5 cm.; xxv - 236 pp. Blue cloth with red lettering on spine and front board with red/green/yellow border lines on same. Illustrated end papers. Edited by Daniel Lord and with a seventeen page preface by Fr. Lord. A three and a half page bibliography of Fr. Finn's works and a four page index are at the back. Illustrated with eleven tipped in black and white drawings or prints, one of which is the frontis, on paper of various colours. There should be twelve prints as the tipped in print facing page 180 has been removed leaving remnants on the page. The back free end paper has a discrete tape repair to the top fore edge corner. The front board has a slight convex or dish shaped bow. The externals show mild shelf wear with some white spotting to the front board. Otherwise, a very clean interior with a solid binding. Besides being a teacher of some note, Fr. Finn is best remembered for his books of juvenile fiction and his books were considered de rigueur for any Catholic school library in the early part of the century. 20383
